Every week, we launch a company from unknown to mainstream. Our launches hit 10s of millions of views. Not explainer videos, masterpieces engineered to break the internet for the founders backed by Sequoia, A16Z, and Khosla.

As our Hype Editor, your core mission is to lead our montage department: distilling a 20-to-30-second idea into a high-octane, high-taste visual asset that captures total attention, feels completely fresh, and commands 1 to 5 million+ organic views per video. We produce a couple of these premium, ultra-high-class videos every month. We don’t want generic clips of rocket ships, Steve Jobs, or Google stock footage. We want an innovator who creates visuals people have literally never seen before.

You don’t ask for hand-holding or step-by-step cue sheets; you take a raw concept, find your own creative direction, and ship a full, end-to-end masterpiece that leaves people asking “How did they even edit that?”

What You’ll Do

• Lead all of our montages: Own the visual language for our sleekest, fast-moving, high-taste montage sequences from start to finish.

• End-to-End Visual Sourcing & Editing: Source 100% of your own unique visual clips, curate distinct aesthetics, and construct 30-to-60-second end-to-end videos or plug high-impact sequences seamlessly into broader agency launches.

• Innovate & Break Visual Conventions: Reject generic stock tropes. Design edits with fresh pacing, novel visual mechanics, and unexpected sourcing that make our client content instantly stand out.

• Own the Creative Direction: Take high-level 20 to 30 second concepts and run with them, finding the direction, setting the beats, and executing without needing micromanaged frame-by-frame direction.

• Ship High-Impact, Premium Hits: Produce multiple ultra-high-class, viral-ready videos a month designed to garner 1M to 5M+ organic views across social platforms.

What We’re Looking For

• 3 to 5+ Years of Editing Experience: You are an experienced editor with a proven track record of shipping high-level visual content.

• Proven Track Record / Creator Background: You either run your own channels posting edits that rack up millions of views, or you’ve been the lead editor behind top-tier creators doing the same.

• Self-Starter & Go-Getter: Extreme ownership mindset. You can take an abstract 20-second idea and execute a fully fleshed-out, polished video autonomously.

• Distinct Visual Style: Your reel clearly proves that your work doesn’t look like everyone else’s on the feed.

And most importantly: You have taste.
