Who is Shown Media, and what this role is about
Our content writers drive 100 million views every month on X and LinkedIn. You'll be writing for the biggest accounts in tech — and you'll be the one who decides what's good enough to go out under their name.
Only apply if this describes you:
High IQ — neurodivergent is a plus
Terminally on X. 20+ hours a week minimum.
Know who Clav is
You've read Breakthrough Advertising
You have a swipe file. It has hundreds of entries
Meme culture is research, not entertainment
You think "good enough" is a form of failure
Top 1% problem solver
Workout regularly
You can tell within 30 seconds why a piece of writing isn't working — and exactly how to fix it
High standards aren't something you talk about. They're something people notice.
About Shown Media
Emmy winners, ex-Mr. Beast filmmakers, elite creative strategists with 3B+ organic views combined. Every week we engineer viral launches for the companies defining the next decade of tech — hundreds of millions of views, zero paid distribution. You've seen our work. You just didn't know it was us.
The Role
You'll write for founders backed by Sequoia, Khosla, and A16Z — and for accounts that collectively drive 500 million views a month on X and LinkedIn. But you'll also be the last pair of eyes before anything goes out. You review. You approve. You send it back when it's not right. The quality bar is yours to set and yours to hold.
What You'll Do
Write hooks, scripts, and threads that make products impossible to ignore at launch
Review and approve content writer output before it reaches clients or goes live on campaigns
Give revision feedback that is specific, actionable, and makes the writer better — not just tells them it's wrong
Hold the standard: nothing goes out under your approval that you wouldn't put your name on
Develop content writers by identifying patterns in their weaknesses and coaching around them
Own copy for X and LinkedIn — each platform's grammar, written fluently
Iterate in real time based on what the data says, not gut feeling
The Type of Person Who Fits
You have posts that crossed 1M+ impressions and can explain exactly why each one worked
You write fast without sacrificing quality
You think about writing the way engineers think about systems: testable, iterable, improvable
You know the difference between a post that gets shares and one that gets just impressions — and which one you need when
You've written for a founder or executive and made their voice feel authentic
You've given feedback on someone's writing that made them measurably better — and they knew it
You don't let work through because there's time pressure. You find the time to fix it.
5+ pieces at 1M+ impressions? Consider yourself hired. (Close but not there? We'll train the rest.)
